What You’ll Do
- Investigate adverse business practices and cartel formations that affect consumers.
- Develop and maintain systems for monitoring and evaluating business practices in the province.
- Create effective investigative procedures for priority transgressions impacting consumer rights.
- Perform administrative duties related to case management and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance consumer protection efforts.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate and a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Business Practice, Dispute Resolution, Law, Policing, or relevant Consumer Studies.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably at salary level 7/8.
- Supervisory experience would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Eastern Cape Consumer Protection Act and related regulations.
- Strong problem analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational abilities.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
