What You’ll Do
- Inspect road maintenance works to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Write detailed reports on the quality of work performed.
- Identify gaps in compliance and provide actionable advice to maintenance teams.
- Provide expertise in roads maintenance and guide teams on best practices.
- Conduct skills audits to identify training needs and facilitate in-house training.
- Monitor progress on capital projects through regular inspections and meetings.
- Liaise with communities and the Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) regarding road maintenance quality.
- Attend joint meetings with stakeholders to address road maintenance queries.
What You’ll Need
- A Trade Diploma and Grade 12 qualification.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in road work maintenance.
- A valid driver’s license (excluding applicants with disabilities).
- Knowledge of Public Service Acts, regulations, and frameworks relevant to the role.
- Familiarity with machinery, occupational safety, and artisan-related activities.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and computer skills, with a focus on financial management and planning.

Requirements
Trade Diploma.Grade 12.
Three (3) years road work maintenance experience.
Valid driver’s license, with the exception of applicants with disabilities.
Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant Public Service Acts, regulations and frameworks.

Job Duties
Inspect roads maintenance works to monitor compliance with standards/specifications: Check and monitor compliance with standards and specifications.Write reports on quality of the work.
Identify gaps and give advice accordingly.
Provide expert advice to workers.
Recommend actions to be taken.
Provide roads maintenance expertise to maintenance teams: Provide work guidance.
Identify training needs.
Conduct skills audit.
Facilitate training.
Conduct in-house training.
Monitor progress on capital projects: Conduct inspection of capital projects.
Attend capital projects meetings.
Provide reports.
Liaise with communities and RAL on the quality of roads maintenance: Attend joint meetings with RAL and communities on the status of the quality of the roads.
