What You’ll Do
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas of the hospital.
- Remove garbage and ensure proper disposal.
- Clean restrooms, bathrooms, and other common areas, adhering to hygiene regulations.
- Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep as needed.
- Clean kitchen utensils and equipment, ensuring they are ready for use.
- Track and maintain stock levels of cleaning materials and utensils.
- Safeguard and keep cleaning equipment in good working condition.
- Report any equipment needing repair or replacement.
- Clean and arrange the boardroom, preparing it for meetings.
- Implement basic security measures and monitor for hazards.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as necessary.
- Adhere to infection control and hygiene regulations.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Reliability and honesty in all duties performed.
- Physical strength to meet the demands of the role.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
