What You’ll Do

  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Address electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and renovation issues as they arise.
  • Maintain farm equipment and infrastructure, including repairing fences and water systems.
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks, including cleaning gutters and managing refuse.
  • Support routine agricultural work, such as installing irrigation systems and performing elementary farming tasks.
  • Safeguard maintenance tools and supplies, ensuring they are well-organized and accessible.
  • Engage in fire prevention activities and contribute to maintaining gardens and recreational areas.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a Grade 9 or NQF level 1 qualification.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in farm maintenance or construction.
  • A Competency Certificate in fence making is recommended.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Practical knowledge of general farm work and ability to use hand tools effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks.
