What You’ll Do

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with minor electrical, plumbing, and welding repairs as required.
• Cut lawns and maintain grass areas around buildings according to horticultural standards.
• Operate various types of lawnmowers and garden tools to ensure the upkeep of outdoor spaces.
• Remove old plants and flowers, including weeds, and clean surrounding roads.
• Prune trees and plant new flowers and plants to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the grounds.
• Safeguard maintenance tools and supplies, ensuring they are kept in good condition.
• Report any defects or maintenance issues to the relevant authorities.

What You’ll Need

• A National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Proficiency in operating lawnmowers and garden equipment.
• Basic skills for minor lawnmower repairs and welding tasks.
• Strong communication and report writing abilities.
