About the Opportunity

The George Municipality is offering a Financial Management Internship Programme as part of the National Treasury’s initiative to enhance financial management skills within municipalities. This 24-month programme provides invaluable experience in the Financial Services Directorate, equipping interns with practical skills in budgeting, financial statements, and internal audits.

Requirements/Qualifications

To qualify, applicants must have:
– A 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a financial field
– Majors in Financial Management, Management Accounting, Local Government Finance, Financial Accounting, or Internal Audit

Preference is given to recent graduates and those residing in George and surrounding areas, including Mossel Bay, Knysna, Oudtshoorn, and Plettenberg Bay.
