What You’ll Do
- Supervise the verification and processing of Maintenance Orders.
- Manage and oversee Union membership and insurance cancellations within the system.
- Ensure accuracy in ledgers and journals while maintaining compliance with public service prescripts.
- Process third-party transactions and prepare cost statements.
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering a cooperative team environment.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team competency in financial administration.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required for departmental meetings.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in a financial supervisory role.
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4).
- An applicable three (3) year Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
- Strong knowledge of relevant public service prescripts and financial regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver’s license for at least a light motor vehicle is a plus.
