What You’ll Do
- Capture salary-related transactions using PERSAL and BAS systems
- Process payments for supplementary claims, including overtime and allowances
- Manage garnishee orders and cancellations of deductions
- Capture travel and subsistence claims accurately
- Check and verify salary claims to ensure correctness
- Distribute PERSAL Item Analysis reports to financial institutions
- Maintain filing systems for salary-related documents and reports
- Assist with audit queries related to salary payments and deductions
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or NCV certificate with accounting as a passed subject
- A minimum of one to two years’ relevant experience is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information
- Friendly and trustworthy demeanor to uphold confidentiality
- Effective communication skills to respond to inquiries related to salary matters

Requirements

Job Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to handle documents and information with strict confidentiality.The responsibilities of the appointee will entail the capturing of salary related transactions on PERSAL and BAS for Departmental officials, the capturing of payments of supplementary claims such as overtime, sessional allowances and advances, the instating of garnishee orders, the cancellation of deductions such as insurance policies, the capturing of Local and Foreign travel and subsistence claims, the checking and capturing of salary claims, the distribution of PERSAL Item Analysis reports to Financial Institutions and the filing of these reports on a monthly basis, the calculation and capturing of leave and lump sum payments and responding to enquiries related to this function, Filing of salary related documents.
Assisting with keeping a register for salary payments and deductions.
Assisting with Audit Queries concerning salary payments and deductions.
