What You’ll Do

• Manage and oversee the implementation of youth development policies and sector strategies.
• Develop effective project plans for youth initiatives across government departments.
• Monitor and evaluate youth development projects to ensure alignment with provincial and national goals.
• Facilitate the identification of economic opportunities for unemployed youth and assist in skills development.
• Coordinate support for youth development initiatives, ensuring integration with existing programs.
• Conduct needs analyses to assess the challenges faced by youth in the province.
• Develop a comprehensive database of unemployed youth and their skills for effective resource allocation.
• Lead and manage human, financial, and physical resources within the team to optimize project outcomes.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced National Diploma in Social Science, Developmental Studies, or a related field (NQF level 7).
• A minimum of five years’ experience at Middle/Senior Management level, particularly in youth development programs.
• Strong strategic capability and leadership skills, with proven people management and empowerment experience.
• Excellent program and project management, planning, and organizing skills.
• Proficient in financial management and knowledgeable about public service prescripts and youth development policy frameworks.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, along with strong report writing and analytical capabilities.
