What You’ll Do

• Manage investigations related to land claims and facilitate restitution requests.
• Provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall administration of claims.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures throughout the settlement cycle.
• Lead project management initiatives for the settlement of land claims.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Commissioner, monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness.
• Enhance intergovernmental relations and represent the Regional Land Claims Commissioner at various forums.
• Manage statistical information and ensure the safekeeping of related records.
• Support legal services and advocate for the implementation of relevant policies.

What You’ll Need

• A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma in Law, Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field (NQF Level 7).
• A Nyukela certificate (Pre-entry Certificate to the SMS) submitted prior to appointment.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level.
• Thorough knowledge of land reform or rural development and budget processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in project management and strategic planning.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
