What You’ll Do
- Manage investigations related to land claims and facilitate restitution requests.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall administration of claims.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures throughout the settlement cycle.
- Lead project management initiatives for the settlement of land claims.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Commissioner, monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Enhance intergovernmental relations and represent the Regional Land Claims Commissioner at various forums.
- Manage statistical information and ensure the safekeeping of related records.
- Support legal services and advocate for the implementation of relevant policies.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma in Law, Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field (NQF Level 7).
- A Nyukela certificate (Pre-entry Certificate to the SMS) submitted prior to appointment.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level.
- Thorough knowledge of land reform or rural development and budget processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in project management and strategic planning.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
