What You’ll Do
- Manage investigations and requests for the restitution of land rights
- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of claims
- Oversee the quality of service delivery regarding land claims investigations
- Manage research and investigations of outstanding claims
- Facilitate the settlement of land claims through effective project management
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures for the settlement cycle
- Develop strategic plans for the Commissioner and monitor their implementation
- Support operational teams in negotiations with private investors and claimants
- Maintain accurate management of claims in project registers
- Enhance intergovernmental relations and stakeholder engagement
- Provide legal support and advocate for policy implementation
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Law, Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field (NQF Level 7)
- A Nyukela certificate (Pre-entry Certificate to the SMS) submitted prior to appointment
- A minimum of 5 years of experience at middle/senior managerial level
- Thorough knowledge of land reform or rural development processes
- Understanding of budget processes and public finance management
- Strong analytical, communication, and report writing skills
- Proficient in project management, negotiation, and team management
- A valid driver’s license
