What You’ll Do
- Manage governance structures, parliamentary and stakeholder coordination to support the department’s strategic objectives.
- Coordinate the functioning of governance committees and forums within the office of the Director-General.
- Oversee parliamentary liaison services, including managing parliamentary questions and submissions.
- Develop and implement governance systems and procedures to enhance institutional effectiveness.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement initiatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide administrative support for the District Development Model (DDM) and ensure compliance with records management frameworks.
- Monitor implementation of governance-related commitments and manage compliance with governance policies.
- Provide strategic leadership and performance oversight of resources within the Directorate.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate/Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Sociology, Public Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- Successful completion of the Pre-entry Certificate for the Senior Management Service (SMS).
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience at a Deputy Director or Senior Management level in governance administration or related fields.
- Valid driver’s license and a solid understanding of Public Service Regulations and governance structures.
- Strong strategic capability, leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects effectively.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
