About the Role
The Department of Public Service and Administration is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Director: Human Capital Management, based at the Head Office in Mmabatho. This pivotal position involves providing strategic direction, leadership, and management within the Human Capital Management Unit. What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic leadership and direction in the Human Capital Management Unit.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies and strategies.
- Oversee the development and execution of the Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan.
- Manage human resource administration services and ensure alignment with best practices.
- Coordinate departmental transformation programmes and employee relations initiatives.
- Implement and monitor Employee Health and Wellness programmes.
- Oversee human capital planning, salary management, and information systems.
- Lead strategic training and development services for departmental staff.
- Ensure effective implementation of the Performance Management and Development System.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate.
- A Degree, Advanced Diploma, or B-Tech in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Public Management, or Human Resource and Industrial Psychology (NQF Level 7).
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience at Middle or Senior Management level.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Successful completion of an SMS pre-entry programme and obtaining a Nyukela Certificate.
- Expertise in HR strategy, policy formulation, and social development systems.
- Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work under pressure.
