What You’ll Do
- Develop methodologies for strategic and operational planning related to health care benefits design.
- Facilitate health needs assessments for clinical interventions, pharmaceuticals, and technologies.
- Create a policy that connects referral services with health care benefits design.
- Conduct Health Technology Assessments (HTAs) for clinical interventions and ensure alignment with the National Health Insurance Fund.
- Prepare public communication materials regarding the comprehensive list of health care benefits.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate and an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Public Health, Economics, or Actuarial Sciences, recognized by SAQA.
- A postgraduate qualification (NQF level 8) in Health Economics, Actuarial Sciences, or related fields is an advantage.
- At least five years of experience in a middle or senior management role focusing on health care benefits design.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with VBA; knowledge of Python, R, and SQL is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license and an SMS pre-entry Certificate are required for appointment finalization.
