What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain data architecture and pipelines to ensure efficient data flow.
• Implement innovative solutions for real-time data processing and cloud-based systems.
• Oversee the integration of diverse data sources and establish scalable data warehouses.
• Automate data workflows to streamline processes and reduce manual efforts.
• Ensure data security and compliance with regulations, conducting regular audits and assessments.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate developments in data architecture and represent the National Treasury in external forums.
• Collaborate with the data governance team to uphold data quality and integrity standards.

What You’ll Need

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Data Science (NQF Level 7).
• At least 5 years of experience in a middle or senior managerial role within a data and software engineering environment.
• Proficiency in data integration, modern data warehousing, and knowledge of data governance and security.
• Familiarity with programming languages and software such as R, Python, SQL, and AWS.
• Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service Senior Management Leadership Programme is required before finalization of an appointment.
