What You’ll Do

• Manage and lead nursing services, providing strategic direction and support.
• Plan and monitor the objectives of the specialized nursing unit in alignment with the institution’s strategic plan.
• Build and maintain constructive working relationships with nursing staff and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethical practices, and statutory laws governing nursing.
• Oversee the effective management and utilization of human and material resources within the nursing unit.
• Implement performance management systems to enhance staff development.
• Monitor compliance with quality assurance, infection control, and occupational health and safety standards.
• Ensure efficient administration of the nursing unit functions.

What You’ll Need

• Basic R425 qualification Diploma/Degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification enabling registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse General.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience post-registration as a Professional Nurse, with at least 4 years in a management position.
• Advanced understanding of nursing legislation and ethical practices.
• Knowledge of PFMA and HR Management.
• Familiarity with Public Sector Legislation and related regulations.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
