What You’ll Do
- Compile impact reports on sector developments in the tertiary sector.
- Conduct research to identify factors driving growth and engage stakeholders.
- Provide in-depth analyses on the socio-economic impacts of industrial policy proposals.
- Draft speaking notes and speeches based on current affairs and research findings.
- Develop databases of economic indicators to project future costs and benefits.
- Contribute to policy discussions and draft briefing notes for the Director-General and Minister of Finance.
- Engage with stakeholders to discuss policies that influence the economy.
- Support project plans and coordinate initiatives regarding the financial feasibility of the tertiary sectors.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 qualification and a minimum National Diploma in Economics or Econometrics (NQF level 6).
- At least 4 years of relevant experience, with 2 years at an Assistant Director level or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of applied microeconomics and research tools.
- Experience in the dissemination and interpretation of economic policy outcomes.
