What You’ll Do

  • Manage and maintain EIA-related applications and ensure compliance with submission requirements.
  • Conduct initial screenings of applications and forward compliant documents for further review.
  • Safeguard the integrity and accessibility of all environmental records and documentation.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the unit and its projects.
  • Administer resources effectively, including human, financial, and physical assets.
  • Organize and chair meetings to facilitate project progress and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with the Gauteng Provincial Environmental Management Framework.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in Public Management & Governance or Public Administration recognized by SAQA.
  • 3 to 5 years of middle management experience in strategy and governance.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in project management, report writing, and analytical skills.
  • Competencies in time management, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Attributes such as being innovative, client-oriented, and a team player.
