What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough property research and analyze information to support land use management.
- Manage and coordinate responses to land status inquiries from various stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy in the asset register for all Department of Rural Development and Land Reform immovable assets.
- Facilitate the vesting of state land into the appropriate government spheres and custodians.
- Review vesting applications for data accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Process vesting applications using the Land Administration Web system.
- Provide support and advice regarding state land to stakeholders including Provincial Shared Service Centres and the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure.
- Assist in designing strategies for land and resource use and development.
- Process disposal applications for various land transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Draft National Treasury requests when necessary and facilitate land survey consents.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate along with a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Town and Regional Planning, Surveying, Real Estate, Property Management, Law, Land Administration, Public Administration, or related fields.
- A minimum of 3 years of junior management experience in land administration or a conveyancing environment.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of spatial information interpretation and land administration policies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in financial management, conflict management, and project management.
- Ability to think analytically and conduct thorough research.
- Competence in reading and interpreting deeds and maps.
- Willingness to travel and work irregular hours as needed.
