What You’ll Do
- Deploy, patch, and monitor physical and virtual servers, storage networks, and cloud environments.
- Oversee backup job schedules and manage the restoration processes for virtual machines, files, and databases.
- Design and implement standards for directory integrated services and monitor their execution.
- Manage the Mimecast platform for secure email and incident response protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, providing 2nd and 3rd-line support.
- Monitor backup availability and conduct disaster recovery drills.
- Assist with budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiations related to ICT services.
- Compile reports for governance committees and support internal and external audits.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in Information Technology or related field.
- Certification in Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- A minimum of five years of relevant ICT experience, including three years in a junior management role.
- Strong knowledge of Public Service Corporate Governance of ICT Policy Framework and related legislation.
- Practical experience in managing backup infrastructure and resolving operational incidents.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
