What You’ll Do

  • Implement good corporate governance of ICT as guided by relevant legislation.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive ICT strategy that supports departmental objectives.
  • Manage technical support services, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Enhance departmental processes through innovative ICT solutions.
  • Initiate, develop, and review IT policies and frameworks, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Plan and execute various ICT projects effectively.
  • Define, negotiate, and manage service agreements with external ICT providers.
  • Oversee ICT risk management processes to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Manage financial and human resources within the ICT unit effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate.
  • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma (NQF level 6) or a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the ICT field, with at least three years in a junior management role.
  • Certifications such as MCSE, ITIL, COBIT, or Project Management will be advantageous.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software platforms and their capabilities.
  • Experience in project management, administration, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with officials at various levels.
  • A trustworthy, ethical, and professional demeanor with a focus on integrity and results.
