What You’ll Do
- Manage and provide technical support for the determination and redetermination of municipal boundaries.
- Oversee local government elections and related electoral processes.
- Develop policy interventions aimed at improving the Local Government: Municipal Demarcation Act and Municipal Structures Act.
- Create formulae for determining the number of councillors according to legal requirements.
- Manage processes related to alterations of provincial boundaries and related legislative development.
What You’ll Need
- A 3-Year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Development Studies, or an equivalent qualification at NQF 6/7 as recognized by SAQA.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, with knowledge of MS PowerPoint being advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Strong skills in planning, organizing, problem-solving, project management, and people management.
