What You’ll Do
- Provide management services and coordination for arts, culture, and heritage programs in the district.
- Develop and implement the District Annual Operational Plan for cultural initiatives.
- Coordinate support for hosting events and activities that promote arts and culture.
- Offer assistance to museums and community groups engaged in heritage and language activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of arts and culture programs in the community.
- Manage the budget for arts, culture, and heritage initiatives.
- Build and maintain a database of creative sectors within the district.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on program outcomes.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders to enhance the impact of cultural programs.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- A Degree, Advanced Diploma, or B-Tech at NQF Level 7 in an Arts and Culture-related field.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience, with at least three years at an Assistant Director level.
- Knowledge of national arts and culture policies and legislation.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong supervisory and human relations skills.
- Excellent report writing and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in project management and financial systems, including budgeting and supply chain management.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
