What You’ll Do

  • Manage nominations for National Orders and maintain the corresponding registers.
  • Edit and enhance biographies of nominees for clarity and impact.
  • Compile memos for the approval and acceptance of foreign awards.
  • Oversee administration tasks, including budget monitoring and report compilation.
  • Facilitate documentation for State Official and Provincial Official funerals.
  • Coordinate arrangements and documentation for official memorial services.
  • Provide secretarial support to the Presidential Advisory Council on National Orders.
  • Assist in drafting and amending the Charter for the Advisory Council when required.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate plus an appropriate Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification on NQF level 6.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in project management and office management.
  • A solid understanding of protocol and security measures in public service.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to handle sensitive matters.
