What You’ll Do

  • Manage routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations of buildings in the Bojanala District.
  • Deliver and oversee repair and renovation projects in accordance with the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS).
  • Respond to the Infrastructure Programme Management Plan with the Infrastructure Programme Implementation Plan.
  • Approve implementation of repair, renovations, and maintenance reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of tender documents with relevant Acts and building standards.
  • Implement and manage minor building projects effectively.
  • Oversee contract management and ensure proper reporting practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with community members, stakeholders, and various public entities to ensure project success.
  • Manage building maintenance across service points within the district.
  • Supervise the resources of the Sub-Directorate effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Property Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field within the built environment.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the built environment, with at least 3 years at the Assistant Director level.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations, standards, and public service regulations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong management, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to motivate others and work effectively under pressure.
