What You’ll Do
- Manage and review bookkeeping and payments policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Coordinate the financial reporting processes, including the submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor and manage expenditure to optimize the department’s financial resources.
- Oversee audit processes and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Collaborate with human resource management to align financial functions with performance management policies.
What You’ll Need
- A qualification at NQF 7 level in Accounting, Financial Management, Cost and Management Accounting, or Financial Accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience in a junior management role in finance or accounting.
- Knowledge of the Public Service Act and Regulations, Public Finance Management Act, and Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in systems such as BAS, PERSAL, and LOGIS.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities.

Requirements
A qualification at NQF 7 level, as recognized by SAQA, in Accounting, Financial Management, Cost and Management Accounting or Financial Accounting PLUS 3-5 years’ experience at junior management level.Knowledge and understanding of Public Service Act and Regulations.
Knowledge and understanding of Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.

Knowledge and understanding of BAS, PERSAL and LOGIS systems.

Job Duties
Manage, review and implement bookkeeping and payments policies.Manage and monitor the provision of expenditure management and bookkeeping.

Manage human resources in line with human resource management, labour relations and human resource development and performance management policies.
