What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement acquisition management systems and internal controls.
  • Facilitate and manage the business process cycle for all bids, including inviting, evaluating, adjudicating, and awarding contracts.
  • Proactively manage and track tenders and quotations for goods and services.
  • Provide regular progress reports to management, highlighting procurement trends, risks, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage the Departmental Bid Evaluation and Adjudication Committees’ secretariat.
  • Compile and analyze management reports from various strategic activities.
  • Offer strategic advice and guidance to ensure compliance with Supply Chain Management regulations.
  • Manage human resource issues and facilitate adherence to policies within the Acquisition Unit.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6/National Diploma) in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Procurement, Public Management, Public Administration, Internal Audit, or Logistics.
  • Extensive experience at a Junior Management or Assistant Director equivalent level, particularly in Supply Chain Management and Acquisition Management.
  • Proven track record in managing resources effectively.
  • A valid driver’s license is essential.
