What You’ll Do
- Provide preventative and developmental counselling services at individual, group, and community levels
- Conduct psychological screenings aimed at enhancing overall functioning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Facilitate psychoeducation and promote mental health awareness
- Document interventions and provide feedback to clients and supervisors
- Offer supervision and mentoring to lay health workers
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa as a Registered Counsellor
- Registration with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa
- For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration; for Grade 2: Minimum of 8 years’ experience; for Grade 3: Minimum of 16 years’ experience as a Counsellor
- A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the Sub-structure
- Knowledge and/or experience in counselling and psychometric assessments
- Ability to think strategically, interpret policies, and provide mentorship
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
