The Witbank Hospital is currently seeking qualified individuals for the position of Contract Sessional Medical Specialist Grade 1 – 3. What You’ll Do
- Manage and provide care for patients in a level 2/3 service facility.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in academic and training programs to enhance staff development.
- Conduct clinical audits to improve patient care standards.
- Support hospital management in maintaining high-quality patient services.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews and assessments as part of the performance management system.
What You’ll Need
- Registration as a Medical Specialist in Pulmonology with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Relevant medical qualifications and experience:
- Grade 1: Less than 5 years of relevant experience.
- Grade 2: At least 5 years but less than 10 years of relevant experience.
- Grade 3: 10 years and more of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of medical ethics, health policies, and public service regulations.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and under pressure.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Competence in clinical assessment and management, with a commitment to teaching and guiding junior staff.
