What You’ll Do

• Manage and provide care for patients in a level 2/3 service facility.
• Assist in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Participate in academic and training programs to enhance staff development.
• Conduct clinical audits to improve patient care standards.
• Support hospital management in maintaining high-quality patient services.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities.
• Conduct quarterly performance reviews and assessments as part of the performance management system.

What You’ll Need

• Registration as a Medical Specialist in Pulmonology with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Relevant medical qualifications and experience:
• Grade 1: Less than 5 years of relevant experience.
• Grade 2: At least 5 years but less than 10 years of relevant experience.
• Grade 3: 10 years and more of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical ethics, health policies, and public service regulations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and under pressure.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Competence in clinical assessment and management, with a commitment to teaching and guiding junior staff.
