What You’ll Do

• Manage the identification and facilitation of community development interventions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement integrated youth development programs.
• Monitor and review legislation and policies relevant to youth development.
• Develop proposals to amend or create policies that support youth initiatives.
• Promote youth entrepreneurship and cooperative initiatives within the community.
• Oversee the efficient management of human, financial, and physical resources in the sub directorate.
• Stay informed about new developments in community development and management.
• Facilitate and conduct research on youth community development needs.

What You’ll Need

• A relevant three-year qualification at NQF level 6/7 in Community Development, Social Science, Developmental Studies, Youth Development, Public Administration, or Education.
• At least 10 years of practical experience in community development, with a minimum of 3 years at an Assistant Manager level.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to conduct site visits in both urban and rural areas.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Emotional intelligence and cultural competencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with isiXhosa or another local language preferred.
• Deep understanding of social dynamics and human behavior, along with project management proficiency.
