What You’ll Do

• Deliver safe and comprehensive patient care focused on renal disease treatment and education.
• Manage and operate dialysis machines and water purification systems.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to established procedures and protocols.
• Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Develop and modify integrated patient-based care plans based on assessments.
• Create a supportive and conducive environment for patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a relevant qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Technologist.
• Current HPCSA registration as a Clinical Technologist, valid until 2026.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of two years’ dialysis experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge and insight regarding dialysis machines and water purification systems.
• Understanding of infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
• Basic computer literacy and knowledge of relevant nephrology legislation and policies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
