What You’ll Do
- Deliver safe and comprehensive patient care focused on renal disease treatment and education.
- Manage and operate dialysis machines and water purification systems.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to established procedures and protocols.
- Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
- Develop and modify integrated patient-based care plans based on assessments.
- Create a supportive and conducive environment for patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a relevant qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Technologist.
- Current HPCSA registration as a Clinical Technologist, valid until 2026.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A minimum of two years’ dialysis experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge and insight regarding dialysis machines and water purification systems.
- Understanding of infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
- Basic computer literacy and knowledge of relevant nephrology legislation and policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
