What You’ll Do

  • Develop cost-effective solutions in line with industry standards.

  • Create detailed tender specifications for civil works.
  • Assess planning and design proposals to ensure compliance with engineering norms.
  • Approve civil engineering works based on prescribed standards.
  • Facilitate the training and development of staff, promoting skills transfer.
  • Supervise engineering processes and manage project performance.
  • Administer budget planning and resource management for projects.
  • Monitor expenditure and report on project service delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 / Matric certificate and a qualification at NQF level 07 in Civil Engineering, recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Compulsory valid registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
  • A valid driver’s license (exemptions apply for applicants with disabilities).
  • Strong technical competencies in engineering design, project management, and compliance.
  • Excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in engineering software applications.
