What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with speech and audiological disorders.
- Implement effective treatment methods for a wide range of medical diagnoses, including neurological conditions and hearing impairments.
- Provide clinical support and supervision to junior staff and students, fostering their professional development.
- Manage allocated financial and physical resources, ensuring optimal utilization.
- Maintain and evaluate the status of clinical equipment, implementing repair and maintenance programs as needed.
- Compile monthly statistics, conduct clinical audits, and contribute to report writing and policy development.
- Participate in continuous professional development and quality assurance initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification that enables registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Speech Therapist or Speech Therapist and Audiologist.
- Proof of current renewal of practice license with HPCSA.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Speech Therapist or Speech Therapist & Audiologist post-registration.
- A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
- Strong supervisory experience and additional qualifications in the relevant field are advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a solid understanding of relevant policies and protocols.
- Proactive, innovative, and a team player with effective leadership skills.
