What You’ll Do
- Implement security policies in accordance with relevant acts and national directives.
- Conduct threat monitoring and risk assessments to safeguard departmental assets.
- Manage the deployment and functioning of security operations effectively.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with security measures at official residences and offices.
- Liaise with national security agencies, including the National Intelligence Agency and the South African Police Services.
- Coordinate security awareness and training initiatives for staff.
- Oversee the management of private security service provider contracts.
- Conduct investigations into security incidents and breaches as necessary.
- Provide operational and administrative support regarding security activities and assessments.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 4 or Senior/Grade 12 Certificate.
- Valid Security Grade A PSIRA Certificate.
- National Diploma in Security Management is an advantage.
- National Key Point Certificate and SAPS Firearm Competency for various firearms.
- A minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in a National Key Point environment is preferred.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of security legislation (e.g., MISS, Protection of Information Act).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams.
