What You’ll Do

  • Conduct final reviews and approvals on engineering designs to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Coordinate design efforts across various disciplines for seamless integration with current technologies.
  • Manage the execution of the maintenance strategy by providing appropriate structures and resources.
  • Oversee the allocation, control, and monitoring of all project-related resources.
  • Compile and manage risk logs while adhering to sound risk management practices.
  • Ensure the availability of funds to meet Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) objectives.
  • Manage the operational capital project portfolio effectively to meet organizational needs.
  • Lead the development, motivation, and utilization of human resources within the engineering discipline.
  • Set and monitor performance expectations for subordinates to achieve organizational success.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B Eng/BSC Eng) or a relevant qualification.
  • Six years of professional experience as a registered engineer.
  • Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of program and project management, legal compliance, and engineering communication.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic leadership approach.
  • Excellent financial management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
