What You’ll Do
- Provide legal advice and executive support to the President, Deputy President, and Secretary of the Cabinet.
- Ensure compliance with constitutional and legislative obligations within The Presidency.
- Draft and review agreements pertinent to The Presidency and broader government operations.
- Manage litigation and represent The Presidency in various disputes.
- Offer strategic advice on legislative changes and assess legal implications.
- Oversee the Legal and Executive Services Unit, ensuring it is well-resourced and effective.
- Identify and manage legal risks and compliance issues across government functions.
- Facilitate strategic planning, budgeting, and stakeholder communications for the unit.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate and an LLB Degree.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Senior Management Services and 10 years’ in a legal environment.
- Admission as an Attorney or Advocate.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven client orientation and customer focus.
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
- Expertise in financial management and strategic leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public service regulations and legislation.
- Proficiency in research and advocacy, with excellent analytical skills.
