What You’ll Do
- Participate in designated testing braille programs to assess learners’ skills.
- Transcribe various materials, including textbooks and classroom resources, from standard print to Braille.
- Train learners on the use of assistive devices like Refreshable Braille machines and magnifying tools.
- Collaborate with educators to create a supportive learning environment for visually impaired students.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to students to enhance their educational experience.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- A recognized certificate in Braille (Grade 1 & 2) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Braille Mathematics is a plus.
- Functional computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer care.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
