What You’ll Do
- Ensure that clinical nursing practices comply with established standards and legislation.
- Promote and uphold the quality of nursing care within the oncology unit.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster a supportive working environment.
- Monitor and report on health indicators and adherence to safety protocols.
- Facilitate compliance with Health and Safety Act and Infection Prevention and Control Policies.
- Provide guidance on human resources and financial policies relevant to nursing operations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of neonatal care standards and actively contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
What You’ll Need
- Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent, with registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Oncology Nursing Science, accredited by the SANC.
- Minimum of 10 years of nursing experience, with at least 6 years in oncology nursing and 3 years at a management level.
- Strong knowledge of PFMA, Batho Pele Principles, and the Patient Rights Charter.
- Excellent managerial, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a multidisciplinary team.
- A valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
