What You’ll Do

  • Implement policies and best practices related to user demand management.
  • Facilitate accommodation service delivery for client departments.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures for assigned departments.
  • Supervise staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Act as a contact point between the National Department of Public Works & Infrastructure and client departments.
  • Oversee programs for leased accommodation and planned maintenance services.
  • Assist client departments in formulating accommodation requirements and asset plans.
  • Compile and report on accommodation-related information.
  • Ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives and reports.
  • Conduct regular meetings with client departments to discuss progress and issues.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries.
  • Manage Service Level Agreements for client departments.
  • Prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to annual business plans for the Directorate.
  • Conduct site visits to assess the utilization of properties.
  • Be willing to travel as required for site assessments and meetings.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Public Administration, Management, Public Relations and Communication, Real Estate Management, or Social Science.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement or property coordination.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong planning and program management skills.
  • Understanding of the built environment and property industry.
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
  • Proficiency in Works Control System (WCS) and Government Immovable Asset Management Act (GIAMA).
  • Advanced numeracy and computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • A proactive and creative problem-solving approach.
  • Attributes like innovation, trustworthiness, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
