About the Role
The Compensation Fund is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director: Treasury & Investments Management to join its team in Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Review and analyse reports on the performance of investment portfolios
- Conduct investment accounting reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor daily cash flow to manage liquidity efficiently
- Oversee the management of resources within the sub-directorate
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the Fund’s goals
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies
- Coach and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and performance
- Engage with stakeholders to foster relationships that support financial objectives
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Finance, Investment Management, Financial Economics, or Financial Accounting
- A minimum of 4 years of functional experience in Treasury, Finance, Investment Management, or Financial Accounting, including 2 years at a senior state accountant or supervisory level
- Strong knowledge of policy conceptualisation and formulation relevant to Compensation Fund policies
- Familiarity with financial regulations, including COIDA, PAIA, and PFMA
- Proficiency in financial risk management and compliance practices
- Excellent skills in financial analysis, portfolio risk optimization, and investment management
- Ability to effectively manage people and lead teams towards achieving goals

Requirements
Undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) as recognized by SAQA in Finance/Investment Management/Financial Economics/Financial Accounting.15 4 Years functional experience in a Treasury / Finance / Investment Management / Financial Accounting environment of which 2 years should be at a senior state accountant level or a supervisory level.
Knowledge: Policy Conceptualisation and Formulation (Compensation Fund policies, procedures and process).
Knowledge of relevant regulations, laws and legislation (COIDA, PAIA, PSA, PSR, POPIA).
