What You’ll Do
- Ensure timely payment of invoices within 30 days of receipt by the Fund.
- Oversee the monthly DEL Claim process and ensure accurate payments.
- Prepare approved weekly and monthly reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Enhance financial management through effective planning, tracking, and reporting against set targets.
- Review financial statements and contribute to the annual report information.
- Improve governance and compliance within the financial processes.
- Manage resources, including human, financial, and equipment/assets, within the sub-directorate.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Accounting, Auditing, Business Information Systems, or Economics at NQF Level 6, recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of four years of experience in finance, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of key legislation such as the Unemployment Insurance Act, Public Finance Management Act, and Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant financial systems (e.g., AX-One, BAS) and HR systems (e.g., PERSAL).
- Strong skills in accounting, communication (both verbal and written), computer literacy, time management, and report writing.
- Ability to plan, organize, analyze, and creatively solve financial challenges.

An undergraduate qualification in Accounting /Auditing / Business Information Systems and Economics at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA.Four (4) years of experience of which two (2) years must be functional experience in Finance environment and two (2) years at a supervisory level.
