The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director: Strategic Management and Planning to join their team in Bhisho. What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and prepare comprehensive inputs and presentations for strategic and annual performance planning.
- Assist in the research and development of departmental policies related to COGTA procedures.
- Facilitate and maintain the strategic planning processes within the department.
- Compile and submit reports on performance and operational plans.
- Engage with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate and an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Public Management, Management, Public Administration, or Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Three to five years of experience at a supervisory level (7/8) in strategic management or planning.
- Sound knowledge of the Public Service Act, Batho Pele Principles, PFMA, and strategic planning frameworks.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in project management and budgeting, along with basic research capabilities.
- Valid Code 08 (EB) driving license and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
