What You’ll Do

  • Assist in developing and implementing internal communication strategies that align with the GPAA’s objectives.
  • Design a coherent framework for internal communication and create tactical plans to ensure effective execution.
  • Evaluate existing communication tools and explore new technologies to enhance communication effectiveness.
  • Develop and monitor communication plans that support change management initiatives.
  • Maximize the efficiency of internal communication channels and develop new tools and materials.
  • Lead and promote internal events to foster engagement among employees.
  • Manage the content development for internal newsletters and publications, ensuring relevance and clarity.
  • Analyze feedback from internal communication surveys to identify areas for improvement.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant three-year tertiary qualification (Degree/National Diploma or equivalent).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a communications environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or junior management role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and strong computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of the Official Language Act and editing skills.
  • Understanding of public service prescripts and legislation.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with an outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a customer-oriented approach.
