What You’ll Do

  • Review and facilitate the approval of shareholder compacts and corporate plans, ensuring alignment with government mandates.
  • Monitor corporate governance implementation in compliance with the PFMA and National Treasury Reporting Framework.
  • Conduct evaluations of Strategic Plans and Annual Performance Plans, assisting in the establishment of performance indicators.
  • Prepare reports on public entities’ expenditures and monitor financial performance against set objectives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to provide information on policy matters and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Update and maintain the public entities dashboard to reflect accurate organisational performance data.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate and a minimum National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Development Economics, Development Finance, Accounting, or Finance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in one of the above disciplines is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of experience in policy analysis and financial analysis relevant to public entities.
  • Knowledge of the operational aspects of public entities and the public sector, including the PFMA.
  • Proficiency in policy analysis, report writing, and the ability to draft both quantitative and qualitative reports.
  • Experience in conducting desktop research and a strong understanding of government policies and frameworks.
