What You’ll Do

  • Manage the PAYE (Pay as You Earn) process and ensure compliance with SARS requirements
  • Authorize manual payments and ensure accuracy in IRP5 reconciliations
  • Oversee the processing of employer contributions and deductions
  • Facilitate the review and approval of payroll-related transactions
  • Monitor payroll expenditure and report on variances
  • Develop and manage staff performance within the payroll unit
  • Ensure adherence to financial controls and provide responses to audit queries
  • Compile and submit monthly and annual payroll reports

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant three-year National Diploma/Degree in Finance
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Payroll/Salary Administration, including 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act and related legislation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and financial accounting
  • Ability to work accurately and independently under pressure
