What You’ll Do

  • Supervise the implementation of economic development policies and programs within the district.
  • Provide technical support to municipalities in developing Integrated Development Plans (IDPs) aimed at economic growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of economic development initiatives and instruments.
  • Advocate for economic development and empower local municipalities through targeted services.
  • Manage administrative functions related to economic development programs.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate and a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, Business Management, or a relevant qualification.
  • Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Public Service Act, and Local Economic Development Act.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
