What You’ll Do

  • Assist in compiling and managing investment project portfolios.
  • Develop strategies to promote investment and enhance brand recognition.
  • Conduct market investment analysis to guide decision-making.
  • Advise on foreign direct investment opportunities and promote local investment.
  • Identify, package, and market potential investment opportunities to prospective investors.
  • Provide information on the investment climate and offer aftercare services to investors.
  • Facilitate and manage strategic funding partnerships and public-private agreements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize material risks.
  • Oversee the development and management of new or renewed partnerships.

What You’ll Need

  • A recognised NQF 6 qualification in Economics, International Relations, Business Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience in investment facilitation and promotion, with at least two years at a senior practitioner level.
  • Knowledge of the tourism and hospitality sector will be an advantage.
  • Proven skills in project management, stakeholder management, and financial management.
  • Strong computer literacy, interpersonal skills, and client orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with planning and organizing capabilities.
  • A valid driver’s licence (candidates with disabilities that prevent driving will still be considered).

Requirements

A recognised NQF 6 qualification in Economics, International Relations, Business studies, Development Studies or related qualifications.

Four (4) years’ experience in Investment Facilitation and Promotion of which two (2) years must be at a Senior practitioner level or equivalent.

Experience in Tourism and Hospitality will be added advantage.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in compiling an investment project portfolio; Assisting in developing strategy and manage investment promotion; Enhancing brand recognition and promote products or services; Assisting in developing new products or services, or discontinuing them, or decisions on related research and development programs; Conducting market investment analysis; Advising on foreign direct investment; Assisting in developing and promoting local direct investment; Assisting in the identification, packaging and marketing of potential investment opportunities, and the identification of potential investors; Providing general information on the investment and domestic business climate, and offers dedicated aftercare services to investor; Facilitating and manage strategic funding partnerships; Facilitating public-private partnership agreements; Coordinating a risk assessment to determine the material risks to; Coordinating the selection, prioritization, development and management of new or renewed partnership.

Salary

R605 742 per annum (Level 10), excludes service benefits
