What You’ll Do
- Manage Inspectorate operations within the designated office or district.
- Provide expert advice on immigration transgression cases to various stakeholders.
- Represent the Department at security cluster forums.
- Ensure thorough investigations of transgressions under the Department of Home Affairs legislation.
- Review investigation reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop quality assurance strategies and monitor inspection statistics.
- Advise management on immigration-related matters and trends.
- Coordinate with law enforcement for effective case processing and deportations.
- Oversee court cases involving immigration matters.
- Guide and support staff in compliance with regulations and best practices.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Law, Public Management, Public Administration, or related fields at NQF level 6.
- A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a law enforcement, legal, or security environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Public Service Regulatory Framework and relevant immigration legislation.
- Valid driver’s license (Code B/C1/C/EC1) and Public Driver Permit (PDP).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel outside the borders when required.
