What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement strategic management plans for the Food Services Unit.
- Ensure the provision of well-balanced meals to all patients.
- Maintain high culinary service standards in the kitchen.
- Manage human resources, including performance management and staff scheduling.
- Oversee financial resources, including food costing and contract management.
- Collaborate effectively with the Dietetic Department and Milk Kitchen Department.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety procedures in the kitchen environment.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a 3-year National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Degree (NQF Level 7) in Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Relevant supervisory experience in a large-scale Food Service environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures in an industrial kitchen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including creating spreadsheets and presentations.
- Good problem-solving, numerical, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with the Labour Relations Act, Food Services policies, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
