What You’ll Do

  • Plan and execute NSF events based on requirements, target audiences, and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the NSF events calendar, including various industry and partner events.
  • Provide recommendations to improve event success and stakeholder participation.
  • Participate in budget planning processes and ensure compliance with approved budget items.
  • Coordinate branding and logistics for internal and external events.
  • Source and manage personnel, including professional MCs, technicians, and caterers.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships and oversee all event operations.
  • Lead promotional activities and manage event risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Administer event feedback surveys, analyze successes, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Travel extensively across the country to oversee events and stakeholder engagements.

What You’ll Need

  • A bachelor’s degree or national diploma (NQF level 6) in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant event management experience, including supervisory or management roles.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in project management and effective oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of public service regulatory frameworks and event-related procedures.
